Once a short list of the best five case study locations have determined, TotalCrypto proposes researching and contacting charities that operate in the region to get their thoughts on the project. This action has multiple goals:
- To get a better understanding of how things are on the ground. Does our research match up to the experiences of charity workers that have actually been there? This will help us better understand any local pitfalls there may be, safety concerns, pre existing infrastructure (e.g. is there 3G signal), local literacy rates and the cost of items like the local office.
- To ask if the charity can help with putting participating cryptocurrency projects in touch with people on the ground. What sort of help could be gained?
- Find out how open the charity would be to an official partnership with participating crypto projects and how they would be willing to assist.
For local non-English speaking charities, it is recommended that a translator is used to execute an effective outreach campaign.
